Patients and their families may find it difficult to cope with various stresses caused by diseases or disabilities. These may have long-term effects on the patient’s entire well-being. To lessen or to prevent this from happening, we have medical social workers who provide psychosocial and emotional support to our clients.
Included in our medical social services are:
- Helping patients and families deal with issues on aging
- Giving out information on how to have access to community resources
- Serving as patient advocate
- Counseling and educating patients regarding their rights and privileges
Our medical social workers guide each patient with respect for his or her right to autonomy. All information that you share with us is treated with confidentiality. To know more about our medical social services, please give us a call at – 614-861-2727.
